Prior to Covid-19, I regularly led guided walks for my local Environment Group, Prestwood Nature. These events were suspended for several months, but are now getting going again.
They are free of charge, and each year I aim to include 3 short seasonal walks (Spring, Summer and Autumn), which are ideal for families with children, and for anyone who enjoys a gentle stoll in the flat countryside. I also lead a 'further afield' walk, generally in June, for adults and older children.
For all walks, please contact me if you need any more details or to book your place:

'Chiltern Plants of Early Summer' Walk
Saturday 22nd June 2019, 2-5pm
Starting in or close to Prestwood (exact location to be decided), this longer walk will allow us to enjoy some of the early summer plants of the Chilterns. We are extremely fortunate in this part of the country to be able to take in a whole variety of habitats and their associated plant life within one walk. This is due to the complex geology of the area and the soils that arise from this, as different groups of plants thrive in different soil types.
The walk will be about 5 miles, taking 3 hours or so, with plenty of opportunity to stop and take a look at the plants we find along the way. It will be hilly, so a reasonable level of fitness will be required, as well as suitable shoes. Please come dressed for the weather, and do let us know if you are planning to come, so that we do not go without you!
